I was flying high at 30,000 feet and I couldn’t tell what state I was over. My perspective was I saw no dividing lines or borders, which I found ironic in that most of the news I was reading that morning is about border conflicts, and acute differences and hostility one people group to another. Differences.
 
So my view from 6 miles up from my window seat made me think about one of my all-time favorite pictures – the one above – taken in 1969. For me, the photo captures our common humanity – a world without dividing lines!
 
And it made me wonder what our lives would be like if we had this perspective of our world.
